Stable Management
Stable management courses are run for beginners
and horse owners and for BHS exams. These start
with the basics required for looking after a horse
– feeding, watering, mucking out, tack,
grooming etc and progress to lunging, how to treat
cuts and injuries, how to spot if a horse is lame
etc.
Training
In conjunction with Moreton Morrell College we provide
the training for NVQ levels 1 to 3 in equine management,
training for Modern Apprenticeships and courses for
Horse Health and Safety.
Training is also available for BHS stages 1, 2 and
3.
We also offer assistance to pupils who are doing GCSE
PE at school. Via our association with "Connexions"
we offer work experience placements and also offer careers
advice for those seeking to enter the equestrian industry.
We support local Cubs and Brownie groups in their equine
related proficiency badges and we offer assistance to
anyone undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. We
are also in the process of setting up a series of Hollyfast
progress tests which will offer a progressive certificated
award scheme for improving rider ability.
